John Bird Studios

The John Bird Studio is situated in the historic and picturesque town of Bawtry. 

Bawtry's location has always been the key to the towns success. With direct links to the Pilgrim Fathers the town nestles at the edge of three counties, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire an area of quaint villages and market towns. From around every corner and through every alleyway is a haven for the discerning shopper with stylish shops, bistros, tea rooms and wine bars.

The gallery is situated in Dower House Square just off the main square in the center of Bawtry.

With over 40 years experience John’s involvment with the art world includes running his own gallery in the North East for 8 years, one man exhibitions in Stavanger, Norway, commisioned work for English Heritage, National Trust and many private businesses.

John has also shown his work at the Tate Gallery, London and supplied galleries across the UK for the past twenty years.

We work directly with many of the artists and with independent publishers in order to give you a wide range of contemporary, traditional and affordable art. Most of the Artists on display are personally known to us and will take on commisions.

The Gallery has been accepted by the Arts Council, England as one of the participating galleries in their “Own Art Scheme”, this scheme enables you to buy ART over 10 months with 0% interest.
