Boston Park Farm is a family business run by the Chappell family and includes the Tearooms, Maize Maze and horse liveries as well as an 800 acre arable farm. 2024 is the 24th season for the maize maze, which has grown and developed since it started in 2000.
The Maize Maze is open from Mid July until the end of October each year when it is harvested to feed to the animals. The Boston Park Maizie Maze is built using forage maize. This remarkable plant is grown all over the world and has many different uses but the maize at Boston Park is used for animal feed. Maize grows very fast – within 3 months of the maize being sown at Boston Park it is taller than an adult.
Brodsworth Hall was built in the 1860s for the Thellusson family, but as the family’s fortune diminished, the house and gardens gradually fell into decline and disrepair.
Today, the Victorian pleasure gardens have been expertly restored to their former glory, and are the perfect place for a family adventure in the fresh air. The house has been gently conserved to tell the stories of the generations of people who lived and worked here. The gardens are the perfect place for a stroll through the statue walks, the fern dell grotto and the beautiful dells. With seasonal changes, the gardens provide year-round interest.
Often described as the jewel Of Doncaster, the beautiful Cusworth Hall building is set on acres of historic land. WIth a functional Hall, Museum and Park across the land that Cusworth Hall Sites on, you will find something here, whether that's a specific event or a section of Cusworth Hall Museum that will be able to amaze you. With an exclusive bar and on-site cafe, make sure you enjoy some refreshments whilst you're there!
Doncaster’s market can trace its origins right back to the Roman times when the local population established a vicus outside the walls of the Roman fort to trade with the garrison stationed there. Today’s market is on the very same spot and has benefited from Doncaster being on the Great North Road through the centuries.
One of the biggest and best traditional market in the North with lots of shops, stalls and stands, Doncaster Market has been the heart of the town for hundreds of years.
Occupying around 25% of Doncaster’s attractively refurbished pedestrian centre, the Market precinct is truly impressive, incorporating four large indoor market halls – each with their own distinctive character – surrounding extensive and bustling outdoor markets.
You will find Doncaster Market fully open on three days each week - Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
