Are you ready for Christmas? Let's get the coundown started!

Join us as we start the 'Coundown To Christmas' in Doncaster with an event like no other! For the first time since receiving our City Status, we're bringing the Christmas spirit to life across the City Centre with an unforgettable celebration.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the newly refurbished Corn Exchange in the Market Quarter, the DN City of Lights will dazzle and delight. The event will showcase an incredible lineup of street performers, each carefully chosen to incorporate captivating elements of light. These performers will ignite your imagination and set the stage for a night full of wonder (stay tuned for the performer list!).

As you wander through the Market Quarter, indulge in a variety of delicious festive treats. With food and drink vendors serving up seasonal favourites, you'll find plenty to enjoy alongside the offerings from the businesses in the Wool Market, Market Square and throughout the City Centre.

The festivities wouldn't be complete without the magic of Christmas! One of only three original Carousels in the UK will take centre stage, beautifully illuminated for the occasion. A brightly lit Victorian Bandstand will add a touch of nostalgia, and a brand-new Christmas Tree will grace Market Square, bringing even more festive cheer.

And that's not all! Santa himself will be making a special appearance, with his music box of Christmas hits to keep the party going and spread holiday joy.

Then, at 7:30pm, prepare to be amazed as we light up the City for the very first time. The grand City Lights switch-on, followed by a stunning firework display, will illuminate the skies over Market Square in a breathtaking finale you won't want to miss.
