DN City of Lights

Join us on Saturday 16th November for the 'DN CITY OF LIGHTS' in the Doncaster City Centre.

This event marks the start of the Christmas period in Doncaster and will be the first opportunity for us to celebrate across the City Centre since our City Status.

The newly refurbished Corn Exchange in the Market will be the backdrop for the City of Lights opening event where visitors will be entertained by a stellar line-up of street performers.

There will be food and drink vendors to complement those already located in the Wool Market and Market Square and these will serve a range of traditional and festive fayre for all.

Central to the event is one of only three original Carousels in the UK, a brightly lit Victorian Bandstand and the final addition will be a brand-new Christmas Tree for the Market Square.

Visitors are in for a treat as Father Christmas will also be making an appearance, complete with his music box of Christmas hits that will get the party started.

At 7:30 pm the lights will be switched on for the first time and complete with a specially choreographed firework display over the Market Square.
