Upcoming eventsAlbert Houthuesen was a Dutch artist, who spent the years during the 2nd World War living in Doncaster.
It was during his time in the town that he started work on a series of images of clowns and harlequins, for which he is now best known.
This exhibition, which has been created in association with the Albert Houthuesen Trust, follows Albert’s life from his childhood in Amsterdam, to his time in Doncaster and into his later years in London, when a series of exhibitions helped to create his reputation as one of the most original artists working in this country.
