Mother Hubbard's

The Original & Best Since 1972

Mother Hubbards was originally established in Bradford, West Yorkshire in 1972. The purpose built restaurant was completed at a cost of £92,000. The grand opening of this famous restaurant took place on 3rd May 1972 by Coronation Street favourites Stan & Hilda Ogden.

Fish and Chips when our famous restaurant first opened its doors in 1972 were served at 45p a portion.

Nowadays, we’ve expanded across a range of locations across the Yorkshire region and we’re proud members of the National Federation of Fish Friers. We’ve opened new branches across the years - from our Batley restaurant in 2013, to Halifax in 2014, Leeds and Wakefield in 2016 and our most recent Huddersfield Restaurant in 2018. This continued growth is a testament to our delicious food and wonderful service, and we hope that we’ve done Stan and Hilda proud.
