Christmas events begin for Doncaster ahead of the festive season...

Frost Festival: Taking place from 23rd November – 29th January on Clock Corner, St Sepulchre Gate and the surrounding city centre areas

Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Christmas in Doncaster with a whole host of events taking place in the run-up to the festive season.

The season of events will include visits from Santa Claus at the Mansion House as well as Christmas Carols in the Square with choirs, carols and musicians providing the backdrop to the entertainment. There will be festive cabins that will be open every day offering small retailers the opportunity to bring festive cheer and gift options to city centre shoppers, a children's tea cup ride, as well the return of the free snow globe for children to play in.

An Evening with Father Christmas

Mansion House
Thursday 12th  & 18th December, (sessions from 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm including a quite session)
A truly magical experience awaits when Father Christmas stops by the Mansion House for a festive evening of entertainment, activities, hot chocolate, cookies, gifts and photos in our fairytale setting. Tucked away within the Mansion House is our fairy hideout where the elves have been busy creating a festive treat for the children of Doncaster. Don’t forget your singing voices and dancing shoes as Santa is here to party!

Christmas Cabins

7th-23rd December (10am-5pm every day except Sunday 10am-4pm)
Lots of great gift ideas await at the Frost Festival Christmas Cabins situated in the area around Clock Corner between Frenchgate and Doncaster Market. Enjoy the charm and atmosphere and pick up a quality pressie along the way from the local makers, small businesses and craft style traders. Enjoy festive refreshments from the food and drink stalls. 

Frost Festival Finale

Join us in Gresley Square for our finale event for this Christmas. Bring the children for Christmas rides, attractions, entertainment and face painting with our all inclusive £2 per child wristband so you can enjoy unlimited rides and your favourite character face paint.

We begin in Sir Nigel Gresley Square at 3pm and round off by 8pm with Christmas songs and festive treats for all.
Enjoy a mulled wine, hot chocolate or roast chestnuts as we ease you and the family into the final days before the big day with a bit of fresh air and a lovely afternoon out that's affordable and a lot of fun.

Great for families and rides suitable for all ages up to 10. Keep an eye out for Grinch and some naughty elves passing through!
