Barrie ‘Baz’ McDermott and Adrian ‘Mozza’ Morley will be joining us on the night to look back at their illustrious careers. They will look back at the good old ‘Rough and Tough’ times, sharing stories when things on the field got a little heated.
They will also talk you through video footage of some of the ‘Big Hits’ and ‘Fights’ we still talk about to this day. We will hear stories of their battles on the pitch, and the difference between when they played, and the game has it is today.
Also joining us on the night will be ex Australian and NRL Star Greg Inglis.
G.I’ as he is commonly known is an Australian rugby league star who in May 2020 signed for Super League club Warrington Wolves.
The 33-year-old World Cup winner retired from the sport in April 2019 however, he feels he has one more challenge left in him. Previously labelled as one of ‘the best athletes Rugby League has seen, Inglis is a rugby superstar.
Inglis also won the prestigious Golden Boot Award for Rugby League International Player of the Year in 2009. Amongst the Golden Boot Award, Inglis won two grand finals and a Clive Churchill Medal.
On the night, Greg will take us on a journey from Rugby League as a 7-year-old boy through his journey in the NRL before concluding with his aspirations with the Warrington Wolves.
Greg will be joined on stage by ex-Warrington, St Helens, and Wales international Lee Briers.
Lee who is now on the coaching staff of the Warrington Wolves in the Super League, and a former Wales international who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. A Great Britain and Wales international representative stand-off or scrum half, he played in the Super League for St. Helens and the Warrington Wolves (with whom he won three Challenge Cup finals). Lee will talk about his fantastic career and how he is adapting to the new coaching role.
This event is NOT to be missed. A must see for any Rugby League fan.
