Photographer Les Monaghan revisits the subjects of his 2014 exhibition
Photographer Les Monaghan is making portraits with young people across Doncaster to record their aspirations. Alongside each young person is someone who is shaping their aspirations, it could be a parent or carer, a coach or a youth worker. Their childhood aspirations are also recorded.
Aspirations10 asks whether we have learnt the lessons of the past and are creating a world where everyone can achieve their dreams. The series builds on the 600 Aspirations Doncaster portraits created by Les in 2014 and exhibited at The Point in 2015.
Aspirations10 will be exhibited at The Point from 7 October 2024 – 17 January 2025.
Opening hours
Our Gallery is at the heart of the building and inspires children, families and adults to be creative – whether you are visiting independently or are taking part in the many activities that happen within the Gallery space. Click here for opening times.
All exhibitions are open to the public, but we do sometimes close the space for events, or you may visit at a time when creative activity is taking place so the space might be noisier than you expect!
Please do phone 01302 341662 before visiting to check what’s on – especially if you are travelling in to Doncaster.
