The Ghost Ships of Doncaster

Welcome to the maiden voyage of the Ghost Ships of Doncaster. The Ghost Ships are a collection of boats from the surrounding area which will come together, light up and theme the boats and travel through the dark.

We invite you to come and watch the illuminated boats as they head along the canal from Long Sandall to Stainforth.

Imagine a fantastic parade of beautifully lit boats, each decked out in Halloween-themed decorations and glowing lights, with a crew dressed up in fun costumes. As we glide through the waterways, we'll pass by the charming villages of Barnby Dun and Stainforth, spreading joy and excitement to all the folks watching.

Our Frightful Flotilla is a fantastic event for people of all ages in Doncaster. Whether you're on one of the boats or eagerly waiting on the side-lines, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Get ready for a magical display of creativity, awesome costumes, and a full-on Halloween spirit that'll get everyone in the mood for some spooky fun!

Come and join us and help raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Time:

6:30pm Sailing from Long Sandall

7:00pm Passing through Barnby Dun

9:00pm Arriving at the New Inn Stainforth.

The boats will set sail from Long Sandall all ready and lit up so you can catch us anywhere along the canal and for the finale we invite everyone to make their way to the New Inn Stainforth.

We ask everyone to take care while visiting the canal at night time and will be slowing the boats for viewing at Barnby Dun, Kirk Sandall swing bridge & The New Inn where the tow path/canal side will be well lit.
